Awinita is a full blood Cherokee woman who has learned all the top survival skills from her father and mother.  Being an only child her father taught her just as if she were his son and her mother taught her the ways of a Cherokee woman.

Awinita went to University in Atlanta to become a Forest Ranger which she did and the animals and the land taught her well.  She was raised in a traditional Cherokee home in the southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains which she loved dearly.

But then it happened and the disease ran rampant through the world.  The simplest name was Zombie Fever.  It took her father and mother when she returned home they were gone, nowhere to be found.  She headed south to where the family first originated from and that was Big Rock, Georgia.  The same was there, the family was gone, and she found herself fighting a different kind of animal, Zombies.  Having heard that there was sanctuary in Atlanta she headed there to see what she could do to help.  But she found that the city had been taken over by the Zombies, so she headed back to Dallas, Georgia where her grandfather had lived, and she helped groups of humans trying to survive so now she is with a group and is a provider and a protector whatever way she can.
