Sebastian is well versed in most basic modern tech, he is a decent cook and he can pour a mean scotch; however, his true skills lie in his ability to read people. More often than not, if he is studying someone, he can tell if they're lying, becoming aggressive, etc. simply by reading their body language.
Powers:
Cast even further into the fringe of fringe society, Sebastian was taught in the ways of Blood Magic- one of the darker, possibly black, arts that even other spell slingers look down upon. While there are those who abuse the art, Sebastian was taught to use it in a way that he uses his own blood as a power source, rather than relying on sacrifice or spilling the blood of others to accomplish his goals. While the art is still under quite a bit of suspicion, and for good reason given its history in the occult world, he does his best to keep his powers hidden.
Though Noah, his mentor, was a master of the craft, Sebastian is an apprentice still. With Noah's passing the previous year, Sebastian was thrust into the world of the occult with little knowledge of the creatures that lurked in the dark, and the powerful forces that control them. That said, he is capable of combatting the aforementioned creatures, if he is able to keep his emotions in check and rely on Noah's teachings- which, of course, is easier said than done. Sebastian is not proud or stubborn enough to force himself into a fight, if he knows he can end a confrontation without violence, utilizing his mind rather than his magic.
Blood Magic, in its truest form, is the manipulation of life forces, or blood as it were. While most use this power to kill or maim, Sebastian only uses it to defend himself and those he deems worthy of his protection, or who he sees as innocent in his eyes. While most Blood Magic users are able to manipulate the blood inside of another person's body, through the use of sacrifices or excessive violence, Sebastian relies only on his own. To cast a spell, he cuts his hand and releases the power of his own life force. Able to harden his blood into a shield, or even sharpen it into a spike, he is able to manipulate his own blood as a hydromancer would manipulate water.
However, there is a limit and range to his abilities. His powers are much more potent and quick to take effect up close and personal (within five feet), but the extent of his reach is twenty feet in any direction- any further, he risks spreading his life force too thin and fatally harming himself. Although he is capable of defending himself if pushed to do so, he prefers to use the art for smaller things, such as speeding up the working process of blood cells in himself or others to heal small wounds. If given years of practice, he'd likely be able to strengthen that healing ability, but he can only manage small cuts and scrapes at the moment, without expending too much energy.
While Sebastian does have a working and ever developing knowledge of Blood Magic, other schools of magic are not well known to him. Having been mentored by a 'dark magician,' his mentor went out of his way to keep Sebastian's talents hidden as best he could.
