Gwaine is the son of Arthur's sister Morgawse and King Lot of Orkney and Lothian. His younger brothers are Agravaine, Gaheris, and Gareth. Gwaine's half-brother is  Mordred. Gwaine is a good friend and strong supporter of his uncle, King Arthur.
