You are not an adventurer.Not yet.
You know adventurers are a thing, of course. Who hasn't heard the stories of sorcerers and paladins and warlocks and thieves and clerics and bards and stuff, fighting dragons and giants and whatever?
But that's not you. (Not yet.)
You're just a normal person living a normal life. Maybe you're a blacksmith, or you make candles, or sell jewelry, or maybe you're a minor noble, or maybe you're just a servant in a prosperous house, or maybe you just do other people's washing and/or sewing for a living. But you're not an adventurer. (Not yet.) Adventures are something that happens over in the new world, the frontier, where all the giants and dragons and monsters are. A simple, normal, mundane life is all you've ever known, and it's all you really expect to ever know.
Tomorrow, though... that will change.
