The Spindrift Isles
The Spindrift Isles lie veiled in mystery.All of the northern islands rest in the hands of a secretive order of High Elves, a hermetical society of mages devoted to unraveling the deepest riddles of magic. Said to worship a forgotten goddess of the moon, it is the presence of these formidable magicians that have held the nearby holdings, the Lordship of the Isles and the Sea Barons, at bay. But for them, their ambitious neighbors would have sought to claim the Spindrifts long ago.
The southernmost island, Lendore Isle, is home to a variety of people, most of them honest folk seeking a living from fishing or farming. All are given to remaining close to their homesteads. Many dangers lurk in the islands forests and hills, and within its interior are the remnants of kingdoms long lost to memory, dark ruins in which might be found the secrets and treasures of a lost age. Few possess the courage to venture into Lendore Isles ancient places.
But those who do may discover unimaginable rewards.
The Spinward Isles is a campaign for the First Edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. It is based on the L series of modules authored by Lenard Lakofka and published by TSR. The game takes place within the World of Greyhawk campaign setting.
